Acer's First 15.6-Inch Model set to launch at just $250!

Chromebooks happened to be a hot selling item  this past holiday season, and from the looks of it, PC makers may want to continue the momentum this year 2015.

Acer, the world’s second largest Chromebook seller culled from Gartner, intends to get more customers with what has been said to be the world’s first 15.6-inch Chromebook. Here are the specs from wired:
The Acer Chromebook 15 has modest specs. It houses a fifth-gen Intel Celeron processor and features a 1920 x 1080 HD resolution display (buyers can alternatively opt for a cheaper 1366 x 768 resolution display). As for connectivity, it’s got 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth LE, along with USB 3.0, USB 2.0 and HDMI ports. Weighing in at 4.85 pounds, it promises eight hours of battery life.
While we don't have the date of the chromebook launch. What we do know is that  the Chromebook 15 will sell at an affordable price point $250 and  will be equipped with 16 or 32 GB SSD variants including 4 GB of RAM. Acer also also added a touchscreen display to its chromebook 13. More on that in a future post!
