Meet Jummy Olabanji, reporter for ABC7/WJLA-TV and News Channel 8. Before coming to D.C., Jummy worked as a reporter and anchor at WTKR-TV in Norfolk, Virginia and WCAV-TV in Charlottesville, Virginia. A proud graduate from Virginia Tech, Jummy loves her Hokies and even roots for the Redksins and the Nationals.
She recently gave an interview to DC FAB! We think Jummy is FAB!!
DC Fab!: Where do you like to party/hang out in the District?
Jummy: The Park at Fourteenth , Recess Lounge, W Hotel, Smith Commons, any where on U Street…can I also include all museums, monuments, and restaurants? :)
What scares you?
Failure, rats, brown M&Ms (choked on one as a kid, haven’t been the same since).

Who would you rather go to dinner with: Arianna Huffington or Rupert Murdoch?
I’ve met Arianna Huffington already, so I’d have to go with Rupert Murdoch. Whether you agree with him or not, he’s a successful businessman. I one day would like to get into the business side of media management, so I’d love to pick his brain.
If your house was on fire, and all people and pets were safe, what one thing would you run in a save?
My iPhone, iPad and passport. (I know that’s three, but journalists always list in threes…you know that Joi!)
If you could be anywhere in the world other than D.C., where would you be?
Back home in Toronto, where I was born and partially raised. A close second would be Italy.
