DANA AIR FREE TO FLY AGAIN!!
Just when you thought they had finally gotten banned! The ban gets lifted once again. So you are free to fly "the smartest way to fly" but let me say this good luck to you if you do!!
According to Reuters, following a meeting between the ministry and Dana staff, the special assistant to Nigeria’s aviation Minister, Joe Obi said: “ …the suspension of the operations of the airline which took effect last Saturday was lifted. The airline is to resume normal operations immediately.”
June 2012, a Dana air flight arriving Lagos crashed into an apartment block on the outskirts of the city – killing 163 people, including everyone on board and ten people on ground.
An investigation was launched to ascertain the cause of the crash, while the government took steps to suspend the airline operations until the results of the investigation were available.
However, the airline was allowed to start flights again in September, despite an inquiry into the cause of the crash not yet being complete.
