Yes apparently it did not last! We are not suprised though how would it, even in the run up to the wedding, Kim spent most of the time humiliating Kris Humpries ; how she hated his dogs blah blah blah. So why are we not in the least bit surprised?

Unfortunately, Kim Kardashian‘s fairy-tale romance has come to an abrupt end. We said so in earlier posts and so did DEBLUSH.COM

Here is what we gathered from eonline:

The E! reality star is planning to file for divorce from Kris Humphries this morning, a little over two months after she and the basketballer wed in a wedding fit for a princess, E! News has confirmed.
So what went wrong?
There’s no official word yet, but Kim has promised to send us statement soon.
The couple announced their engagement back in May after a whirlwind six months of dating. They tied the knot on Aug. 20 in front of a superstar congregation, including all members of Kim’s reality family, and many celeb guests, including Brody Jenner and Avril Lavigne, Lindsay Lohan, Eva Longoria, Ryan Seacrest and Julianne Hough, Kathy Lee Gifford, Mel B, Brittny Gastineau, La La and Carmelo Anthony, Sugar Ray Leonard, Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, Alan Thicke, Mario Lopez, Joe Francis, George Lopez, Serena Williams, Lara Spencer, Maria Menounos, Simon Huck and Jillian Barberie.
After a quick honeymoon, the two settled in the Big Apple to shoot the second season of Kourtney and Kim Take New York.
Sadly, rumors of a rift between the newlyweds have been ramping up in recent weeks, after both the 31-year-old Keeping Up With the Kardashians star and 26-year-old NBA player were spotted making increasingly solo appearances—often without their wedding rings.
Both repeatedly brushed off reports that their lack of bands should be indicative of trouble, with Kim explaining that she simply didn’t wear it while she worked out and that nothing more should be read into it. But that did not turn out to be the case.
We wish both Kim and Kris the best of luck through this undoubtedly difficult time.
We are waiting for the statement !

Erstwhile actress and singer Dakore Egbuson- Akande who exchanged marital vows with her heartthrob, Olumide Akande, earlier this year, has apparently given birth to a bouncing baby girl.
We think Congratulations are in order wouldn't you say?. She gave birth in some time last week in Chicago.

My startup, BeCouply, helps couples have epic social lives. I realized there wasn't a lot out there for couples who don't want to fall into the trap of dinner and a movie every Friday night. I got the idea when I met Becky Cruze, my girlfriend and co-founder. I really wanted to impress her by building something we could use, and the more we talked to other couples the more we realized it could be a real business. BeCouply helps couples discover new date spots and ideas, capture special moments and then connect with their couple friends. Our goal is to have every couple using BeCouply to advance their relationship -- both at home on the computer and mobile on the go. Becky and I are fortunate in that BeCouply is all about having a fun, loving relationship. Ironically enough, before this Becky was working at a law firm that did a lot of divorce cases! -As told to CNNMoney staff reporter Julianne Pepitone Will you be watching? Star blogger Bella Naija is apparently expecting her first bundle of joy! This gathered from Newswatch magazine ( which is believed to be a reliable magazine in our books!) Congratulations are certainly in order for top blogger Uche Eze, who recently got married to handsome son of the former deputy governor of Lagos state, Bode Pedro (Veda Technologies CEO)

Uche Eze Is Pregnant
It is no longer news that the proverbial wedding bells rang recently for Uche Eze, popular celebrity internet blogger that has been featured on Oprah!, the iconic American talk show and CNN and Bode Pedro, son of former deputy governor of Lagos and ex-gubernatorial aspirant.
Very soon, those well wishers would return to celebrate with the couple. Reason? Uche Eze has embarked on the feminine-only nine months’ course and may be delivered of a baby in no distant time from now. The larger Pedro family, sources said, cannot wait for this big gift of God to arrive. There is excitement everywhere in the family, according to sources.
Congratulations Bella!
Okay so it is not rock science, but as we have learned a lot of people do not know how to set up a custom domain for their blogger account. What do we mean by that? Well lets explain it simply shall we? If you own a blog on blogger by the way, and it is called xyz.blogspot.com for instance; while that is fine and great, in order to be considered a professional blog (in most instances), you need your custom domain name say xyzblog.com.

You want this blog to point to your long blogspot name because this helps a lot in your SEO! Now how exactly do you that? How do you point your xyzblog.com to xyz.blogspot.com, such that when your reader types in xyzblog.com it points to your blogspot blog?

Here are the steps you need. Now mind you if your domain name was purchased using GODADDY.com, it is extremely easy to do!
  1.  First sign into your go daddy account
  2.   Click on domain manager and select your domain
  3. Under the domain manager, scroll down until you see DNS MANAGER click the blue link with the words LAUNCH on it
  4. Scroll down till you see the words CNAME(ALIAS)
  5. Under the CNAME you will see a WWW
  6. Edit the column next to it that shows @ with ghs.google.com save
  7. Go under your blogger account and click on settings, publishing,  select custom domain.
  8. Click on advanced since you already own the domain input the domain you want to use (www.xyzblog.com) and thats it so simple you are done!

Oh no say it aint so but looks like paradise is pretty alledgedly pretty much over if you believe the paps! Kris was photographed moving out of the hotel in which they had been residing ever since their wedding!

photosource inphoto.com

And guess what he had no ring on!

They have been married just eight short weeks but their marriage is said to be crumbling. And despite newlyweds Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries stepping out for a double date last night, sources claim the couple are already heading for divorce.
A source close to the couple has told MailOnline: “I don’t know when they’ll announce the split or why they got married in the first place but they are done.”
They are divorcing. Kim has been staying in a New York hotel which Kris has failed to visit.
In a further twist a source told MailOnline that Kris is no longer being represented by Kim’s agents at William Morris Endeavor Entertainment (WME)
That would be pretty unfortunate and we were rooting for Kim how about you? Do you blieve this story and who is this close source?

Goodness it feels great to be back to just blogging fashion entertainment!

By the way clan is a fashion line created by Tiwa Sagoe (daughter of the top fashion designer Deola Sagoe) and her partners,

Did you like the show? What are you thoughts go on tell us!

Oh no say it aint so but alas it is!

E! News host and super star Juiliana Rancic  and who happens to also host  red carpet shows on the network, including Fashion Police announced on Today that she does indeed have breast cancer.

From the huffington post:

She has been open about her struggle to conceive a child, and chronicled two failed in vitro fertilization attempts on her reality show. She told "Today" that a third attempt turned up the sad news of her disease.

"Through my attempt to get pregnant for the third time, we sadly found out that I have early stages of breast cancer," she said. "It's been a shock. A lot of people have been asking, we saw that you went and got IVF, are you pregnant? But sadly, we've had to put that off."

Rancic said she found the cancer early, and will have surgery later this week. She vowed to continue trying to have a baby. "I still want this baby ... because this baby has saved my life," she said.

Hope she pulls through, there is nothing worse that not being able to conceive and now to be told she has cancer can definitely be devastating to her and her her family; hopefully it was caught in the first stage and she will pull through! Have you had a mammogram before?  I know they say before the age of 40 it is not necessary, but it cannot hurt or can it?  I had one and I am way young, thanks to a scare but it was nothing, better safe than sorry right?
We are back on blogger, my dear readers and here is why we made the choice to return!

While it is nice having a blog on wordpress, we realized that we spent more time trouble shooting our blog issues when dealing with various hosts; starting with being on a shared server to going on a virtual private server! Okay lets explain what that means:

Why we moved to blogger istock photo

If you host your blog or site on a shared server, you would have to constantly pray none of the other SITES hosted on the shared server  get hacked or have other issues because guess what? Your site would go down too!

Next we moved  on to a virtual private server, more issues dealing with tech issues; While we are girl geeks and believe it or not design wordpress themes, this is the last thing we need to be worried about when building a blogging business.

This was not the plan for blogging!

It feels great just having to blog rather than spending most of our time and dollars fixing or calling the host! So here we are back on blogger and loving it! Watch this site grow, we promise you it will be a lot better than it ever was! So stay connected! Thanks readers for sticking with us! By the way we will be adding a new feature  sharing our knowledge on blogging after all we have have been doing it for five years now. Wow!

Not only was he a visionary, a lover of art Steve Jobs also loved fashion and now we know why he wore black turtle neck jerseys designed by guess who? Issey Miyake! Who also happens to be a favorite designer of ours! Did you know Steve Jobs actually owned over a hundred of the black turtle necks? No kidding here is how it was reported

From Issacson's book, as reported by Gawker:

issey miyake collection

On a trip to Japan in the early 1980s, Jobs asked Sony's chairman Akio Morita why everyone in the company's factories wore uniforms. He told Jobs that after the war, no one had any clothes, and companies like Sony had to give their workers something to wear each day. Over the years, the uniforms developed their own signatures styles, especially at companies such as Sony, and it became a way of bonding workers to the company. "I decided that I wanted that type of bonding for Apple," Jobs recalled. Sony, with its appreciation for style, had gotten the famous designer Issey Miyake to create its uniform. It was a jacket made of rip-stop nylon with sleeves that could unzip to make it a vest.

So Jobs called Issey Miyake and asked him to design a vest for Apple, Jobs recalled, "I came back with some samples and told everyone it would great if we would all wear these vests. Oh man, did I get booed off the stage. Everybody hated the idea." In the process, however, he became friends with Miyake and would visit him regularly. He also came to like the idea of having a uniform for himself, both because of its daily convenience (the rationale he claimed) and its ability to convey a signature style. "So I asked Issey to make me some of his black turtlenecks that I liked, and he made me like a hundred of them." Jobs noticed my surprise when he told this story, so he showed them stacked up in the closet. "That's what I wear," he said. "I have enough to last for the rest of my life."

This is certainly a revelation from his biography,  there will be more revealed I am sure about that when the book finally comes out on OCT 24
Nigeria's fashion designer Lisa Folawiyo's shiny clothes have captivated people from Lagos to Cape Town, London, Paris, New York and Hollywood.

She is the founder and creative director of Jewel by Lisa, a brand that specialises in Ankara textiles, the vibrant wax-resist dyed fabrics characteristic of West Africa and widely used across the continent.

These clothes, originally based on traditional Indonesian batik and formerly known as Dutch wax, have been popular in Nigeria for generations.

"Our mothers, grandmothers and probably great-grandmothers have worn this fabric," Ms Folawiyo told the BBC series African Dream.

But, as though they were not already bright enough, she decided to embellish them with beads, sequins and crystals, all sewn by hand, and the chic combination became an instant success.

"I can confidently say that Jewel by Lisa was the originator of the embellished Ankara which we see today everywhere," the designer said.

"I have a huge clientele and I have been able to hire a showroom in New York, for instance, and from that showroom we have been able to be stocked in about two stores in New York. Also, I am stocked in a store in South Africa," she added.
Teamwork

Ms Folawiyo attributes her company's success to the way it imbues traditional clothing with a very modern look.

Started Jewel by Lisa in 2005, employing two tailors
Jewel by Lisa now has 30 employees
It operates from showrooms in Lagos and New York
It is sold in Nigeria, South Africa, the UK and the US

She also thinks that a great deal of Jewel by Lisa's achievements have to do with the people she works with.

"I have a great team. That is how I have been able to make a good business out of this," she said.

"When I started Jewel by Lisa, I worked from home, by myself, and hired able hands of one or two tailors, and it was very much a passion, just something I loved doing," Ms Folawiyo explained.

She says that the excitement is still there but that her team helps her to keep focused and to have a good structure in place.

"This enables me to still run away with my creativity and run away with my passion but then they definitively make sure that the numbers are adding up," she told the BBC's Tomi Oladipo.
Not only glamour
A dress from Jewel by Lisa's most recent collection Jewel by Lisa's most recent collection includes dresses like this

Ms Folawiyo believes that there is still room in the industry for new entrepreneurs.

"Because of my story I do know that you don't have to go to a design school to be a good designer but I do think that you must have a good eye, you want to understand garment-making as opposed to wanting to be called a designer," she said.

In her opinion, many young people have the wrong impression of a designer's life.

"They see the glamorous side. They see us when we go for a fashion show. They see when you go on the runway and take your bow, and they see you've been featured in magazines, and they think: 'Oh, I want that'.

"But it's a lot of hard work; it's a lot of passion."

We say go LISA!

Dear Steve Jobs,

Thanks so much for the inspiration; I wrote about how I came across apple's Macintosh in  college in Silicon Valley, like I said back then, this was my first computer; I loved the look of this cute little computer, it is so funny back then even the computer lab attendant believed that the apple line of computers were on the way out but boy was he in for a surprise!

Steve, your passing is very personal to me because I grew up and invested in every product you released once you returned to Apple; not because it was the latest gadget but because of the  look and the vision from you . Steve .

The attendant had laughed at what a lost  company apple was back then Steve, but you know what I really believed the company would thrive, investing the little I had into a few stocks I could buy. You returned Steve, you came back!  Once you came back every thing changed; Product after product I followed  giddily  like a star struck tech groupie!

I loved the product because you inspired me, I love art my first love and that is what made your products Steve, the beauty the art, your computers showed love and style; I follow your words every day:

"Trust that the dots will connect in the future, you have to trust"

Love what you do, this is how I try to live my life every day; I had been criticized about this and at a time I let others opinion of what I ought to be cloud my judgement, not any more; I follow my own path and like you said in your own words:

When I was 17, I read a quote that went something like: 'If you live each day as if it was your last, someday you'll most certainly be right.' It made an impression on me, and since then, for the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: 'If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?'"

"And whenever the answer has been no for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something."

"Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose."

"No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven don’t want to die to get there. And yet death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it. And that is as it should be, because death is very likely the single best invention of life."

"It is life’s change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new. Right now the new is you, but someday not too long from now, you will gradually become the old and be cleared away. Sorry to be so dramatic, but it is quite true."

"Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma -- which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary."

Words to live by, thanks again Steve Jobs for the vision, the style the design and the seduction of  Technology!

Yes there is such a business as the flying doctors of Nigeria. Here is what they do, you get injured and need to get to the hospital; you get airlifted.  This is certainly a much needed service, as we all know, driving through Lagos traffic when critically ill could cost you your life! This happened to a friend of mine who got stuck in Lagos traffic and died traumatically from a sickle cell blood clot on his way to the hospital. This same situation also happened to the founder of the flying doctors sister!

flying doctors of nigeria founder

Here is her story culled from an interview she had earlier with JideSalu:
interviewer: the unfortunate tragic death of your 12 year old sister had an impact on you. In what way, if I may ask?

Dr Ola: That had a profound impact on me. I would have never started the Flying Doctors if I had not been through that experience.

It’s always ‘someone else’s problem’ till it becomes your own.

I took it as a personal call to action.

Interviewer: There was something a statement you made, and this is it (Every time I saw reports about Nigeria on the TV or read about them in magazines, I felt that same sense of compunction, knowing that I had the skills and knowledge to make a difference. I realised my skills as a doctor and a trainee pilot could perhaps be better utilised, and I knew that I could be instrumental in initiating what has already been quoted as ‘the single most influential healthcare innovation in Nigeria this decade’.)  that made an impression on me. Do you now believe you are making a difference? How is your dream different from reality?

Dr Ola: I believe my company is making a huge difference.

For the first time ever in Nigeria, having an accident on the motorway, isn’t a death sentence, patients can be transferred rapidly between hospitals for treatment.

It’s estimated that there are close to 7000 deaths per year in Nigeria’s industrial sector that means every week nearly 150 people die at work.

The biggest reason is because of a lack of ambulance facilities to get them to an appropriate facility. The flying doctors industrial cover meets this need directly.

Interviewer: You are one determined young lady. You spent approximately 9 months saving half of your salary every month and immersed yourself in books about management, business and finance. You also went on courses, spoke to various entrepreneurs and spent many a night crafting your business plan. I bet it wasn’t that straight forward and easy. But your were that focused. Is that what it takes to succeed in life?

Dr Ola: It’s the hardest thing I have ever done in my life, without a doubt. Now my company is actually running I can laugh at all the times I spent carrying my laptop around sourcing for funding and coming home in tears.

There were many days that I didn’t eat because I was so busy-I lost so much weight my mother hardly recognised me! I lost touch with most of my friends-they didn’t understand. I ate, drank and slept my business. And there still isn’t a moment that I’m not brainstorming some aspect of my career.

So definitely, focus is key.

Doing a great job isn’t enough, you will get the results you deserve by doing a brilliant job.

Interviewer : So many would say or think that as a money making business, and rightfully so, it may be out of reach of the common man (if you get what I mean). I assume it will be readily available to the rich oil company workers and co. What would you say to that?

Dr Ola: The Flying Doctors uses a revenue generating model, but it is not for profit

But I do take your point about it being available to rich oil company workers. But when these rich oil companies take out cover, it protects all the employees of the company, from the millionaire CEO to the cleaner of N15, 000/month. If the cleaner has a serious accident at work, then she will be airlifted and treated, just like the CEO.

What I do hope is that more states will take up cover as well making it increasingly available to the common man and I know that as Nigeria starts to take healthcare reform more seriously, this will begin to happen.

Interviewer: Tell us a bit about your social enterprise concept as well as the Flying Doctors Foundation.

Dr Ola: Social enterprises are businesses with primarily social objectives whose surpluses are principally reinvested for that purpose in the business or in the community, rather than being driven by the need to maximise profit for shareholders and owners. The Flying Doctors centres around this concept.

Our surpluses all go into the Flying Doctors foundation which funds public healthcare projects.

That is what we liked about her business idea, the fact that the business helps everyone but should be made available to the common man. Perhaps the president or his aides are reading this, if the roads cannot be developed or people do  not respond to emergency vehicles  then the best solution to saving a life is via airlifting. How about allocating 30 billion in funds to this venture?
